Default Bilstein adjustable from 2.1 to 2.8

Alright boys, here's the story: I leveled my truck with with the adjustable bilstein 5100 shocks. I went with 2.1 because I tow a 7500 lb boat. I was hoping that I would end up level while in tow. This wasn't the case and I did end up sagging while towing which I couldn't stand (neither could the folks I blinded with my headlights).

So I put on the TLC adjustable airbags and now the truck rides like a champ while towing. I can raise the air pressure to make sure it rides level (and it feels more solid.) However because the airbags always have 5lbs of pressure in them for the minimum, and I have a rake again. It's not nearly as dramatic as the factory rake so I think the minor adjustment on front shocks would take care of it.

My question is this; how hard is it to change the setting from 2.1 to 2.8? Do I have to take them off? Do I need to have the truck re-aligned? I had a buddy's shop do the install the first time because they cut me a screaming deal so now I just don't know how extensive this is.

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Here are a couple of pictures of the truck with the boat in question (before and after the TLC Leveling system).

Congrats on the TLC!
Its a great kit for keeping our rams leveled while towing.

Regarding the bilsteins, yes, you will need to remove the entire spring and shock assembly and will have to get the spring compressed to remove the Bilstein to change the clip from 2.1 to 2.8
Then once it is back in, you will need another alignment.

Are you not satisfied with the 2.1 setting?

Wow! makes a huge difference.
But in my honest opinion, I would leave it as is.
But that is just me.

Well in the pictures I posted it looks nearly perfect because I have the TLC adjustment. But without the boat, the rear end is higher again..... I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth adding that extra .7 of an inch to the front for the effort it will take. Maybe I should post a picture of how it stands without the boat....

Take a pic from 10ft back and measure your fenders front and rear to determine the rake.
I doubt its over an 1"
If its less, I would keep it the way it is
