Default Questions about exhaust

Hi everyone. I want to get a new exhaust but don't know which way to go. I want duel exhaust but I have a single right now so I don't have the cut outs in the bumper. Also is it better to get a cat back or just get a muffler and go to a exhaust shop?

My best advice would be to search exhaust using the search function and you will find endless information that is bound to answer any questions might have.

Not trying to be rude or anything, but everyone is going to have a different opinion of what you "should" do or what "sounds good" to them.

..some people like flows but it's strictly a sound mod and only people who like flowmaster sounds will like it. Some go with a Magnaflow because its a straight thru design and has a more muscular tone to it... I went this route because it gave me quicker 1/4 times then when I ran flows..

What do you guys think is better to do. Buy a cat back system, or buy a muffler and have a exhaust shop bend and weld some tubing? Sound is good put I prefer HP.

Don't know about one being better than the other but finding a good muffler shop to do the job will certainly be cheaper. Had a couple done on trucks for $300. Last job was on my truck for 8yrs with a flowmaster and showed no age on it except for rocks hitting the bottom of the chrome tips. If you live in a place where you get a lot of snow and ice you should look for stainless. Most kits are and most shops are not. Good luck to you.

find a good shop...no offense, flows are sound mods, magnaflow will have more power.. our trucks like free flow.. I've run flows and only when I switched to mags did my track times really start to drop..

Got to agree with the man who certainly knows. That's why I have a 18" magnaflow on my new truck. I like the tone better and a whole lot less drone than the flomaster.

Ok great, thanks everyone. Does the magnaflow still have a good rumble? Does anyone know of a good exhaust shop in Oakland County, MI?

i am very picky when it comes to my truck and im on my third exhaust system
i first tried magnaflow and it sounded great, until i put on CAI, it changed the sound and i didnt like it, i then went to flowmaster and i got better performance with that one but the drone eventually got to me, i am now have a borla catback exhaust and i love it, wicked sound a awesome performance but it was the most expensive
