Default Newbie with a few questions

Last night I bought a 2012 Ram 1500 4x4. It is the Express verison with the chrome wheel package. I was wondering if I can add volume buttons to the steering wheel? Also would like to add a head unit of some sort. Love the new truck.

Your best bet would be find a tech at the dealer that is "the guy" when it comes to electronics in these new Rams. I know that might be tough. He would know if the steering column is wired so you could add this option.
I don't know if I would trust a local stereo shop to mess the steering wheel/column.
Good Luck!!!

Congratulations on the new truck, and welcome to the forum!! You'll find that this is a very friendly and knowledgeable place when it comes to Rams of all shapes, sizes and ages!! Somebody will be here soon that has probably done this. Again, welcome to the Z!!!

Thanks for the info so far. What lighting system you guys suggest for the bed of the truck? I want to light it up so I can see in it since it will be covered. Also thinking of lighting inside near the floor somewhere.

Welcome. As the rest have said, plenty of good info. I too am curious about adding the audio controls to a steer wheel that does not have them. I miss them from my 2010. I used to not like them, but now that I don't have them, they are missed.

Congrats on the new gray Express! I have one, and I love it. Welcome to the forum and look forward to talking with you about the truck.
