He'll tell you what to do, but you data log a few minutes part throttle then WOT. I did mine to and from work, and on lunch. Was no big deal once he explained how to do it.

Is it as accurate as a dyno run?
The only experience I have seen with people driving around an tuning was a friend if mine flew a guy in to tune a vette and that turned out horrible. They ragged on his car for the most part of a day and then it still wasnt tuned worth a damn.

Well you are not logging torque so it's not really the same as a dyno at all. But yes it is accurate. He will have you data log things like MAP input, knock sensors, engine speed, vehicle speed, etc. He will make adjustments based on A/F and timing, etc.

Might be a silly question since a custom tune is for sure a go fast mod, but are you guys seeing a loss in MPG after the Hemifever tune?

I'd be willing to bet there is an increase in mpg with his new tune. When Sean tuned my Dakota R/T I saw a 2mpg increase using my 94 + tune on the street. Granted it's a different truck and different engine, but I'd bet it's much more efficient. Can't wait to see.

Better tuning usually means better mpg.

Yeah guys I'm seeing better mpg when I can stay off of it and really the first time I got to drive normal was on a 250 mile road trip I just got back from. My Great Grandfather pasted away at the age of 101 and made the trip to Corpus Christi.....he had a pretty good run in life and was clear minded until the day he died (his body just gave out on him). Just thought I'd share that with yall fellas....let's get back on topic.

Now with the new higher Texas speed limits I drove nearly 80-85mph the whole way their and still was able to get 20.2mpg (a stretch of 180 miles from the outside of Corpus to outskirts of Houston) and when running at 65-70mph I consistently saw 24-25mpg on the Evic meter. Overall after a round trip my Evic ended up being 19.5mpg and that was alot of stop and go in Corpus with the truck idling off and on maybe for a total of 30mins during the round trip.
