That guy is going to screw up your transmission even more, I keep all drills away from the valve body at all times. The only time I ever used a drill was when one of the valve body to case bolts stripped out the case threads so I drilled and re-tap. But no reason to drill out the springs, he could use a magnet to remove them. See I specialize in these transmission, something most people don't do. Transmission shops don't really specialize, me I work on and only on TF's 727,904,518,46,47,48,42, basically all the older generation TF's. But I hope he doesn't cause much harm, as long as he is insured.
