Default Broken Plastic E-brake handle (AGAIN)

I've got an 09 1500 and was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with breaking their plastic e-brake handle. I've broken mine twice, and was hoping someone had a better solution than just using more cheap plastic.

Are you having to really pull on it hard to release the e-brake? It should only take very light pressure to do so. Sounds like you need the cable adjusted/fixed.

^^This. Very little pressure should be required to release the parking brake.

No. Just jump in and pull it. I put the brake on every time I stop. And pull it with a fairly quick tug same as every other truck I've owned or driven. Mechanic at dealer said it happens a lot on late models. Just assumed it was a bigger problem. I'm very far from a dealer on an island, so I can't just drop by. Just hoping someone else has an idea. I'm gonna fashion something low budget (ugly probably) just to sort it out for now.

My '09 emergency brake release is so touchy, that i can release it with a light touch of my fingers
it has 97,000 miles on it
I set the E brake before i put the Ram into the Park position when on any grade, on flat land i set it after i put it into Park
