Default Led interior lights swap now only turn on when doors open not when manually push switch

I recently changed my map and dome lights out for LEDs awesome I must say only problem is they only turn on when I open the doors they will not light up when I push them to turn on like the old incandescent bulbs please help any input would be apreciated.

Mine does something of the same thing. Mine turn into strobe lights if I push the map lights on. I am 99% sure they just need resistors put in, I am just to lazy to do it ... A test for you to do, is do they work pushing up when your truck is running? Mine work normal when the truck is running, but when the truck is shut off they strobe (really annoying)
