Default Ram 1500 Front and Rear Swap

Hey how everybody doing, I was wondering if the front and rear out of a 96 4x4 Ram 2500 would fit in my 1996 4x4 Ram 1500, the reason I ask is that I've got a beautiful set of 40'' Monster Mudders that I want to take off my 83 Chevy C10 and fit onto my truck, the 1500 will not fit the 16.5'' 8 lug rims they are on. I have free reign on junk yard parts so getting stuff isn't an issue, just wanted to know basically if my driveshafts will match up and if id have to change the transfer case, I dont see why I would but I'm no expert. Thanks for your time!

Yes and no...
The front end is pretty much a bolt in , although I'm not sure about the drive shaft. I believe it's the same...just not 100%

The rear needs a bit more work. The spring pads will need to be cut off and moved inward. Your stock drive shaft will need shortening, although the larger trucks shaft might work. You'll have to measure everthing.

Brake hoses interchange. The only thing is that the front differentials axles are no stronger than the D-44 your 1500 has. But if wheel fitment is your only concern and you don't wheel much you'll be fine.

I have a 01 1500 and have been thinking about swapping to the 3/4 axles and I'm just wondering if my money will be better spent in just changing the shafts and gears in the 1/2
