Default Magnaflow 14' vs. FLowmaster 40

So I'm going to be in the market soon for a muffler for my 2012 sport and unsure what muffler to go with. how bad is the drone of each? keep in mind I'm not taking the resonators out..

thanks

All I'll say is magnaflow is a straight through type and flowmaster is a chambered type. Straight through out performs.

The flowmaster will be louder but will drone more. The Magnaflow is not so loud and quiet when just cruising. You can hear it at highway spreads but it's not loud at all. Mine does begin to drone if I go on long trips. It seems like web I'm in the truck for 5+ hours my exhaust begines to drone bad. It might be all in my head though.

My flowmaster 40 series doesn't bother me on the highway. I've done a 10 hour trip and didn't bother me at all. Now, I don't know what people describing a drone are referring to. My could drone and its just what I'm used to, or maybe it doesn't. I've never been in another truck with exhaust besides my own. I just know it sounds good and loud and when you are cruising you can hear it but its soothing to me

Drone is that deep vibrating sound you get at certain RPM's. You have a point in your rpm that your exhaust gets more of a even deep sound and you can't hear the chambers. All flowmaster a drone from what I have heard. I like the sound of it too and all of my ole vehicles would set car alarms off with my flows lol.

ohh. well i guess i'm a weirdo because it doesn't bother me. Yeah my neighbor must have got fed up with his viper alarm system going off every morning at 4:30 am because i haven't heard it, im assuming he disabled it. It used to just chirp when i drove by...but one cold morning i was idling past it and it chirp 6 times then set the full blown alarm off. whoops!
