Default whats a warning canceler??

I have been looking around at aftermarket headlights and came across some I like that also come with HIDs already installed. But it asks if I want a warning canceler with it. I dont know what it does or if I really need it. heres the link below.

On our trucks now if you leave the turn signal on for a while a tone will chime to remind you to turn off the blinker, it also warns in the EVIC , with "turn signal on",
in the old days a turn signal canceller, was inside the steering coulumn, it was just below the steering wheel on the column ,it pushed the old style turnsignal , lever back off after you went around a corner...so it wouldnt stay on...

YES, you need those. They are capacitors that steady the voltage and keep the HID's signal from interfering with other systems (TPMS for instance).

Without them, your HID's will work fine with the truck off but when you start the truck, one or both will go out. I ran into this issue and didn't order them initially because I didn't think I needed them. I had to wait extra time and take my truck apart again to install them when they came in.

With the dodge computer you need them for.the hids. I just added them in mine for the lows and fogs. I got 2 sets of them for $30 from DDM tuning. There are better setups from what I here but these seem to work. I didn't remember I had to get them until I installed the hids and they wouldn't always work.but now.there fine. All the cars are GM so I.never needed them till I got this truck.
