Default Transmission help

Guy's, I have a 2012 Ram 1500 crew with the 5.7 with 500 miles on it. I was driving today and noticed everytime I stopped there was a 2 second delay and the tranny surged forward a bit. It almost felt like someone was trying to push me from behind when I was at a dead stop. Weird feeling. What is the story with this? Thanks

Yes, def. check your trans fluid. If that checks out good, then one thing to consider is you are in it with only 500 miles and everything breaking in and adjusting perameters to your particular driving style. If it persists, then I'd say swing on by your service department to hook it up and inspect for anything unusual. If they tell you they couldn't find anything and everything is operating normal; then I would say give your new Ram a chance to 5000 miles where most owners including myself have noticed everything has settled down or in and fuel mileage numbers have increased as well as drivability concerns improving.

I have to agree with what was posted above. When I bought my 2012 2500 Cummins new that transmission acted really funny until it learned my driving style. Just gotta give it time, after about 800-1000 miles everything sorted itself out.

Do you have the 32 gallon tank? Is your tank 3/4 full?

Yes exactly 3/4 full on a 32 gallon tank. Are there no baffles in these tanks? I was sitting still after stopping and it was a 4 second delay or so and I felt it. Wish this had the 26 gal tank.
