Default 98' Restore

Hey everyone!

So just got my boy back out of the paint booth and it is looking sharp! I was at that point where I either had to buy a new truck or fix up the ol'boy. I love my Ram to much to let it go and lets face it the new built in China assembled in North America crap is to expensive to buy, so we (the girlfriends step dad and I) decided to redo the body and paint on it. As you can see from the photos I was getting the nice clear coat peel and the truck was riddled with soft (rust) spots in the usual areas.

In total we replaced both fenders (which for those who have done these know it sucks @$$) boxside arches, patched the cab corners and quarters, fixed a dent in the tail gate and a big boo boo in the rear passenger quarter behind the wheel. Good thing one of us was a retired body man of 30 years lol. He sure knows what hes doing and I appreciate everything he did for me.

The process took about 2 weeks of cutting, patching, welding, gridning, fibreglassing, body filling, scraping, sanding, headlight restore, grille replacement, high build primering, DA sanding, etching primering and painting!

The truck is as solid as 1998 !!
