Default rear end suspension ?????s

hey guys been researching but i have to ask now. I want to go 6 inches and 35s and put in a lower gear in the rear. question is how low can i go without modifying it. i would like 4.10s but i read somewhere that the lowest i could go is 3.92s? whats the truth behind this.

on to the lift really was between superlift and bds but came across the rough country lift recently and that price made me take a look. so any one know how good it is? and does anyone know how close to the stock turning radius these kits are?

4.10's are possible. 4.56 is possible but the carrier requires modification. This is for 2wd, I assume.

I believe for the front axle you can still do 4.10 but you have to go aftermarket(there is no oem 4.10 gears for the front axle). 4.56 again I think requires modification of some sort.

I know fastNugly did 4.56 on his 4wd and I think it's a 2011(with the new ZF axle in the rear). Some modifications to both axles were required I think.

i was only thinking about doing the rear then maybe the front im not very familiar with differential stuff would i have to change the front and rear at the same time ? it wouldnt really see much offroading and pull a trailer now and again.

What gears do u have now? If only running 35s you really don't need to change out your gears

Andrew has a 2012 and i believe he had to purchase the housing for the front out of an 11 as it is bolted closed and the 2012's are welded closed he will likely chime in soon with info for you , you can also search his build thread i forget what page it is on

the truck has 3.55s right now i just wanted to put something lower in it to help give it some more go that and i have a horsetrailer close to 8000 lbs when loaded so i figured it wouldnt hurt.

id like to keep it highway friendly though how would 4.56s handle the highway on 35s compared to 4.10s or 3.92s?

amazing, lol you will have alot more get up and go if it were with 4.56 over 3.55's you would probably not be able to tell much over 4.10's there is a noticable difference over 3.92's though, i would recommend either 4.10's or 4.56's with 4.56's being my first choice.

hope this helps ya out

thanks
