Default Hearing a POP when getting into truck, or initial backing up in morning.

I had my cousin steer side to side while I looked at all the joints in the front, and all seems tight.

Then, she gets out, I get in to move the truck, and POP again. Cannot tell for sure but sounds like right REAR more than front (or center-rear, maybe around front leafspring mount or possibly shock mount) .

I typically hear it only in the morning, either when I get into the truck (before starting it) or soon after starting and putting it into reverse to back out of my garage. Might actually move 8-10' before it pops, might not pop at all. Pops maybe 3-5 times per week.

Any suggestions on where to start looking and what to start looking at?

Shocks are about 6 months old. Joints are all old, but well greased and aftermarket MOOG with zerks. I have 125,000 miles on joints so they should be about ready to be swapped anyway.

U-joint sticking in the tranny rear seal? Bad u-joint?

It only does it first drive of the day, then no other pops all day long. Then next morning, after it has set for 10 hours or so, I get in, and POP! then nothing else all day.

No matter how much I go from F to R or turn, only that first POP in the morning, and it is a loud POP!

Decided to overlube the front u-joint, POP is gone. I guess I better put more than 5 pumps in every 4000 miles.

Should probably do the same for all the front chassis lube points.

If adding grease fixed it and in about 4000 miles it starts to do it again then something is not right here I do believe. ie worn out. lol
