I believe they lowered it for towing purposes....so when either the bed is full or towing or both, when it sags, the truck becomes level
I could be wrong though

It might have a little to do with aerodynamics as well as towing/hauling.

If you are looking for a slightly more aggressive, quiet on the highway and loooong lasting tire then you might want to look into the BFG AT KO's. I have had two sets of them and they are a very good tire. They might be a little more pricey than others but I didnt find them outrageous, and I got 75,000kms out one set.

This was my truck with a dealer installed Mopar level and the BFG AT KO's in 285/65r20. I decided to get the dealer to install the level kit because I was afraid of having a shudder in 4x4 and they guaranteed me there wasnt going to be a problem. If there was a problem, they reimburse me. Small price to pay for insurance. There never was a shudder problem btw with the level installed.

This looks fantastic!

That's what I am trying to accomplish. My current Mich A/T tires only have 45K miles and measure 2/32 to 4/32 tread, and its time to change them as I tend to drive "spirited" most of the time. I don't mind paying more to keep good rubber on the vehicle. A few hundred dollars saved does not justify risk of an accident, especially in winter conditions.

Do you have a list of all that was done on yours?

Thanks! I really liked it too. It was kinda a compromise at the time because I really wanted to lift my truck higher and get new tires/wheels but at that time could not swing it. Anyway, all that was done there was get the BFG AT KO's 285/65r20 and slap them on the stock chrome clad rims, then installed a leveling kit. Thats it. No rubbing with the tires. They are about 34.5" x 11.5" and are about as big and tall of a tire that I could fit on the stock rims. Anyways, those BFG's are a great tire and I highly recommend them.

I think you should finally adjust those bilsteins up at least to 1.4 and swap out the 2" coil spacer for a 3" coil

Oh Yea!!!!
You got Superlift.
So then yes.....

1.4 on Bilstein and 1" rear coil spacer

You'll have 5.4 up front and 4" rear

Still looks absolutely amazing on 35's
