I have towed my 23ft camper a few times with my 09 Ram 1500 and had no problems. I did notice that when I also load the truck bed and tow the camper the rear would set down a bit more than I liked. Adjustment of the weight distribution bars didn't help but it was a short run so we made out ok.
Later this summer we bought another camper, this one being 31ft. Some of the camper dealers we talked with were concerned with the towing capability of my truck, even though it came from the factory with a class IV hitch and towing package. Power sure is no problem with the 5.7 either. I did add a set of air bag "booster springs" inside of the rear coils and no longer have the tail sag problem with only 10psi in the bags. I actually had to put a bit more weight on the hitch, via the spring bars, than I did with the smaller camper and no bags. This was a very easy install and they work great. I got them from Rock Auto online and they were just about 100 dollars delivered.
In closing, don't these hemis have balls!
