I have to disagree because I see extended warranties pay for themselves all the time. I will say that some of them are way overpriced and that the price is often negotiable but most people don't realize this.

when an available lifetime warranty is available, it can pay for itself with a trans, engine or even the price of of an ac unit. the price you pay for the warranty and how long you keep your vehicle determines if it is a rip off or not.

Ya but $3000 for a 2 year warranty from A FRIEND is a total keister plowing.

I am a believer in warranties and will be totally fine if I never have a failure to recover the cost = it was worth the peace of mind at that point. but I got a LIFETIME warranty for much less than this "friend" took advantage of this guy for.

Its not even the money or warranty or stupid store credit that bugs me, its the fact that this guy was a friend and took advantage of his buddies trust in him as a salesman

This deal was designed to bring you in for the next vehicle. It was never there for your benefit. As has been said already, your friend didn't do you any favors and as such, you definitely don't owe him your business in the future. As far as getting dough back, good luck. Why would they give you money when there's nothing in it for them. You already went elsewhere for your new ride..Theres no incentive there for them.
They already shafted you. The best revenge you can get is to stay away and tell your real friends to do the same..
