i hear ya i have taken care of this faithfully never stretched out oil changes always drove it the way i should it was my first new truck i think dodge should be held responsible for this this is a major issue and we as the consumer should not have to deal with this the trucks already cost us 30 or 40 thousand to begin with i been thinkin of how i can launch this engine through the show room window when i get it out and give it back to them

My 2004 Ram 4.7 just blew a head gasket with 150,000 miles. Having the heads checked right now. Going to go ahead and replace timing chains and guides while in that deep. Not as complicated job as I had imagined. I've done regular maintenance on time since buying it new.
