If you do not have the 2 connectors under the dash are you out of luck?

Or does the controller have those connectors?

Picked my truck up 27 hours ago......dealer said he couldn't install one.

So much cleaner with the Mopar in dash unit vs the knee knocker!

Yes how do you tell if you are good to add one to your truck, and what all do you need? anyone have the part numbers for everything?

Do I just install it and then take it to the dealer and say I need them to flash the computer or do I need to walk them through it?

The part numbers are listed earlier in this thread along with a link to where the pictures are for the connectors. If you have the 4 and 7 pin connectors on the rear bumper you probably have the connectors under the dash but look for them.
Some dealers say they can't install them yet because Ram has not released an accessory kit to do it but if you have the truck wiring it can be done.
Look at post #25 and #38
I had the dealer install and program it for $150 labor.

BTW, is that you from A-Body?

Those are the connectors for the brake controller.
Kman, awesome, thanks for the link to the picture, I just looked and they were there. I went to the dealer yesterday, they had the complete brake controller/switch/bracket for sale for $250. They said it would cost $400-450 for the parts and installation. I asked how much they charged for flashing-only, they quoted me $90.

Does anyone have the part number for the bracket holding the controller?

I have. 2012 and just ordered the OEM brake controller for it. All the wiring is definitely there and when it gets here I will be able to install easily. It says that you have to take it to the dealer to program the computer so they are paired up. Does anyone know if the Bully Dog GT HEMI Plus Tuner will handle this for me or will it require a trip to the dealer?

Good stuff!
Sorry I can't help you with the bracket because it shows no part number on my invoice.
The bracket was not ordered in separately so maybe it's just some universal item the dealer keeps in stock.

Just talked to my dealer this week. Apparently the controller is now available. They ordered one for my 2013 Bighorn Crew. I will post when I receive it.

I gave up on the DIY install. Seeing that the dealer would have to flash the computer anyway, I just took the parts to them to install. They charged me $200 which may of been a high price, but they did a good job and everything works correctly. It looks like they remove the console to install the switch?

for those that don't know
2012 integrated brake controller goes over by the parking brake release, fairly close to the drivers door
2013 integrated brake controller is installed in the center stack, under the radio, in the same panel as the Tow/Haul switch
