Default Which Side Window Deflector to Buy?

Howdy,

Which Side Window Deflector to Buy?

Pros?

Cons?

I have had the stick on on a couple other trucks and had no problems with them.

But I see the ones for this 09 do not extend down past the mirror.

I kinda like the in track ones, But hear all kinds of stories of them rattling at speed or being stolen.

I want it functional while looking great too.

What brands do you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

I went with the WeatherTech in channel units because:

1. I don't like the stick on type.

2. They don't rattle.

3. They are good quality.

4. They look good.

I have the Auto Vent Shade (AVS) in-channel. They look good, but I found that they could have fit better. the one on my drivers side front door used to interfere a bit when putting the window up or down... until it cracked where it makes to curve at the front corner. I sanded the inside of that corner to try to smooth it out, which helped... but!!! it's still cracked.

Anyway, I was planning to get the weathertech vent shades, but my dealer didn't have them in stock... he had the AVS in stock, so that's why I bought them. I wish I had waited for the WeatherTechs.

a bit off-topic, but the same with my soft tonneau... Intending to get an Access Lorado, I went with the Truxedo LoPro cuz he had one in stock. After seeing/comparing to the Access in the flesh (so to speak), I wish I had waited for the Access. The LoPro is pretty decent, but the Access is a little more HD (doesn't flap around as much on the highway)... but I digress.

You can also leave the window down a bit when parked in the hot sun and not worry about if it would rain.

I've got the Weathertechs. They fit pretty good. Had them before with no issues so that is the brand I went with. They are a bit harder to clean under but look better than the stick ons.

There a few good reasons for them...helps in the winter to keep the ice build up on top of the window channel..Well my experience anyway..plus venting is a big thing.

I've got the in-channel weathertechs as well. Went with the in-channel 'cuz I don't like 'stick-on' things since I've had a couple of them fly off at highway speed on other vehicles. My only draw back to them is we have high winds and in winter, I'd get snow/ice-blow building up under the visor, and it's hard to get out with a brush sometimes. Other than that, I love them.

I tend to like the stick on ones! AVS is the one i see on vehicles most and i like the ones i have...unfortunately one happens to be cracked

if you happen to get stick on remember to apply on a nice day i learned the hard way that they dont stick when its cold haha
