Default leveling kit and 35's

ok so I can see that a lot of people have done it, but what I'm wondering is if I put a leveling kit on my 2012 ram 1500 and throw on the 35's, even with a -20 offset, will they rub when i go offroading and i have to turn the wheel?

How wide of a rim? Id say you'll be fine with a 9" wide and worst case have to trim some inner fender. Depends on the actual dimensions of the tire. Go with a skinnier one if your worried. Glock n ram has a pic of a his truck on one of these forums with 35s and a level and its pretty stuff. Tried finding his backspacing for you but I know his rims are 10" wide.

talk to 4x4hemi, he's running 35/12.5r20 on fuels with 1mm of offset and a 2.5 hellbent steel leveling kit. he said no rubbing at full lock, with only a slight rub a full lock over bumps.

I would highly recommend running the bilstein ride height shocks rather than a leveling kit... I have 295/70 R17 and they do not rub. The 295's are just a hair skinnier and a hair shorter than 35's. I have a friend that put 35's on his 2009 and took them back off due to rubbing.

He is correct! well i have slight rub once in a while at full lock, mostly when backing up , even when not bumps, its just a matter of trimming some plastic, im to lazy right now though haha

if you get to much offset you start to rub on the bumper and stuff i believe? so too much offset is a bad thing to

Nothing wrong with levelling kits, ive had no problems with it. Some people dont like the ride of bilsteins and some do. Both have their shortcomings though, lots of stories of bilstein trouble too!
