There shouldnt be!
I just called Steve regarding this and he says no, but the only issue he has seen was the light fluffy snow that blows around. Not the snow that compacts but the light stuff. He just said to either wipe it off if you dont, it will melt and dry itself.

Hope I dont have issues

I have no issues with this intake......heavy rain, snow, blowing snow....
If you install it correctly, you won"t have a problem.

Damn you're right, i ordered a square silicone tube instead of the round one

Wait, would that effect fitment? Maybe its my hood. I know i attached the tube to the vararam and attached that same tube (the free end) to the throttle body......wait maybe the tube is upside down

Fast if you look at the front of my vararam you can see rain has come in. Has it entered my engine like that swamp water....imo

Default It's here!!!!

My Vararam just arrived! Looks good, but it's raining now, and we're expecting rain for the next few days. I'm going to try to get it installed over the week-end, we'll see.

I've got a 28'x20' garage, just hate this heavy drizzle type rain. Anyway, I pretty much got it installed, just need to do a final check of everything, then trim the front radiator cover. I also plan to paint the lid, it's already hemi orange, but it looks like what it is, injection-molded plastic. But I am going to paint it the same color, just have to wait for the weather. Probably be Tuesday according to the weather channel. We'll see what happens in the morning. But it looks GOOD! I'll post pre-paint and pre-decal pics. tomorrow afternoon.

Default Couple of Pictures

Looks like the weather is going to stay sorta crappy through Tuesday, so it'll be Wednesday before I can paint the top. Everything else is done, except paint and HEMI decal. The decal has no background when installed, just the black part will show. I didn't use the enclosed vent filter, I picked up a small cone filter, and installed it using the straight piece of hose found closest to the stock airbox. The oil cap removes and re-installs no problem. Plus I like the look better with the up-right vent, as opposed to using the elbow per the instructions. Also, dis-connect your negative battery cable BEFORE you begin, since it needs to be dis-connected for 2 hours. On my 30 mile test drive I DID notice better driveability, along with a feeling of more power. I did this drive with foam ear plugs in place, that way you're not fooled by the sound making you THINK you have more power. I guess plugging up the brain makes the butt-dyno more accurate! Any way, here's a couple of pics. for now. And as for the stock air cleaner box, leave it in place without the filter, because how many cans of beer will fit in it? Ramcooler anyone?

Like the look of the new ones.
Can you explain the small air filter more?

Edit - thought they came saying air grabber. Looks to be a sticker
