Default Can this be done?!

So I have a 99 1500.

Its stock for now suspension wise.

Today I got 2500 coils and 3" coil spacers.

I heard that 2500 coils give you about 2" of lift.

Is 5" too much without changing anything else? Like the links and pitman?

Any input would be nice!

No this can not be done, you need a track bar drop bracket, pitman arm, longer control arms, longer sway bar links(if you want to leave the sway bar on), and possibly longer brake lines. You should be able to do one or the other and be safe but not both.

pretty much anything over a level kit you are going to want to start changing other parts, dont forget about the steering extension that is very important too.

Alright thanks guys...guess ill be going with the spacers...would like the stiffer springs but i want height. I also got a set of diesel springs...idk how much lift that would give considering im sure they wouldnt squish much with just a gas motor.

These are stock...side by side they are the exact same height. Im guessing I would get an extra inch with them because they wouldnt budge. How does yours ride with diesels?

I'm no expert, but the diesel springs are going to have to destroy any ride quality.

Ride did suffer from putting the diesel springs in but I didn't buy a truck for the ride, I use and abuse my truck, how ever I plan in swapping springs in the near future to go lower but decision wasn't based on ride more for performance 37's make it a little harder pulling the play toy on the trailer.

even with the 3in spacer, your lower control arms are going to pull the axle back towards the cab, i have a 2500cummins with a 7in lift and i put a 5inch lift on and stacked a leveling kit on top of it and it was way wrong. so bought new control arms from top gun customz. this what it will look like..35's for winter

with my 38's for summer

so the first pic is without the new control arms? Because in the 38's pic the axle looks centered. I feel with 3" spacers it wouldn't be as bad as 7"
