Default violent shake!!

i have an 01 3/4 ton 4x4 with a v10 and auto tranny. this morning while driving i hit a small bump and just about lost control of the truck. it felt like the front end was falling out from underneath it. i had to almost come to a complete stop before it would stop. when i got where i was going i checked out the front end and everything seems to be tight. it also popped the tranny in nuetral. it did this 3 more times on the way home. i dont even know where to start looking. any help on this would be great. thank you!!

sounds like you need to replace parts on your steering & maybe suspension

it is called the DEATH WOBBLE, i had it with a old 1956 Chevy 1/2 ton with a upgraded front clip

Mine was doing that too. The dealer replaced all the ball joints and an axle shaft. It got much better but did not go completely away. Once I put LT tires on it was gone. Since it just started for you I would say it's the ball joints.

Any loose steering or suspension component is suspect at this point, especially the track bar and stabilizer.

Talking Whoa!

On bikes we call that a "tank slapper", soon to be followed by a "lip skid".
