well sure no bad effects. but you understand what i mean by dimming the radio etc., right? i'm talking about the interior panel lighting. the radio etc. will become difficult to read in typical daylight conditions.

I am going to stop at the dealer again tomorrow and check it out. I wonder if changing the country code will effect anything else on the truck. Maybe try changing the country code to Canada, activate DRLs then change back to US mode. I will keep you posted.

So we changed the country code and option was still not there. It will be in the BCM if it is equipped. We went into the Dealer Installed Options screen on dealerconnect and added the option LMK to the list of sales codes. Ran out of time but now we are going to reconfigure the truck computer. I will let you know.

Not sure if the problem is US owners wanting DRL and can't get them or Canadian owners requiring DRL and they aren't working but if it's the latter then this Transport Canada recall applies:

RAM

Units Affected - 3,000

1500 – 2013

Certain pickup trucks may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 – Lighting Systems and Retroreflective Devices. Due to an error in the configuration of the vehicle, the Daytime Running Light (DRL) system was not enabled. No DRL illumination could render the vehicle less visible to other motorists and pedestrians during daylight hours, which could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will update the DRL configuration on affected vehicles.

Hi guys. I tried to find this answer somewhere, but I`ll post here and hopefully someone can help. I had my drl`s on the other night sitting behind a car, and I noticed a very slight flicker with my drls. I didn`t believe it, so I shined them against a wall. Sure enough...a very slight flicker, but otherwise all my lights work fine. Is this normal at all, and has it happened to anyone else? In case anyone is wondering...yes, they are all original bulbs....for now. I got my truck a month ago, and the mod itch is beginning. Starting with removing all the dealers advertising. Thanks.

You can make your stereo stay bright at all times by turning the wheel under the headlights switch all the way to the left . You will feel it click twice .hope this helps.

Another option is to buy a set of LED DRL's and wire them in. Might be cheaper than getting the dealer to spend time on it.

Pretty sure in the center radio thing under settings where you can set like what happens when you start with the remote (horn honk, heated seats on) there was an option for DRL's on. Along with how long you want the lights to stay on after locking the truck etc.. 2013 sport
