I'm just not sure about this. I would like the option with tranny settings and tq management. And all the extra stuff you would get with a diablo sport. Of course the thing I don't like about diablo sport is there horrible customer service.

I wonder if stacking it would work sorta how older diesel programmers would? Stack it inline with your trinity tuning to get the best air fuel ratio for power while running a hotter tune.

I have been reading all about the tuners, programmers, chips, etc. I have a 2012 Express and am in the very early stages of even beginning to think about purchasing one of these products. A few years ago I had a Dakota 4.7 and was given a Jet Chip for my birthday so I installed it along with a CAI. I didn't notice a bit of difference driving the truck, not even a slight change in the most minimal sense. I pretty much drive my new express very mild, accelerate slow, drive the close to the speed limit, etc. My question is, will I feel a smoother, better shifting, more powerful motor if I do decide to buy one of these products or will I only notice a difference if I drive the truck aggressively? The part that appeals to me the most is the possible mileage increase which to my understanding may decrease because people get on the gas more to feel the power.

FZBear10 I will preface this with saying that I have no first hand experience with any of the tuners that have been discussed.

However, Bully Dog is the only Tuner out for the 2012 Rams, and for right now DiabloSport works with 2011 Rams. If you are getting one for increased mileage, I don't know if you'd ever recoup the initial investment of the device. Being that Bully Dog doesn't modify torque management (from what I've read), and I don't know if it changes shift points either I'm not sure you would feel any difference with the transmission. You might not notice the extra power either, if you never even reach the RPM where it matters.

It is worth noting that Bully Dog claims the following:
Quote:
Boosts MPGs within 30 days or your money back
Now in comparing to the device mentioned in my first post on this thread, both BD and DS reprogram the ECM where as the Interceptor feeds the ECM modified data.

I was thinking it might even be safer? If your running a hot tune that is programmed. I'm sure at some points it has less than ideal fuel/air/spark. If you had it running hot but something on it changing on the fly to conditions..

Just trying to think. I only have experience with diesel tuning and theres no sense of stacking tuners on them.

Gas performance stuff is actually pretty new to me aside from bikes

On Bully dogs site it only shows the 2011 that I could find.
Bummer if they don't modify Tq Mngmt since that is the worst part of these beasts, off the line lag.
