Default General opinion on headers for 4.7?

Considering headers for the 03', you can see my mods in my sig.

Here's what I'm thinking:

Headers are advertised to add power and fuel economy. Great!. So was the cat-back dual exhaust I purchased. It may have added some fuel economy but not enough that I noticed. It may have added power up on top at my peak HP, 5000 rpm+, but I don't drive it like a race car so I can't tell. It did take away from my low end torque, that I could tell right away. So....will header help or will I lose even more low end due to the decrease in back pressure.

Thanks in advance.

I can't be 100% but I would think they would give you back some low end. I did headers, y-pipe, magnaflow muffler, spectra filter w/DIY CIA and Superchips this past weekend and it made a big difference in my 04.

I see you have the 08 intake and new TB did you feel that you gained a lot from those mods? I've been considering making that my next mod.

If you lost low end torque by freeing up your exhaust system you are only going to lose more by decreasing back pressure unless you can move more air thru your engine
