Default RAZ Radio Upgrade to Sirius Capable

Stock the RAZ radio is Sirius Capable. I found this out last week.. This thread will be my budget improvement since the stock parts needed from MOPAR are roughly $500 to make the radio fully receive satellite radio.

Now, my reason for upgrading the RAZ radio is simple. I hate aftermarket radios. They just look like crap to me and I love the stock appearance. So I have ordered two parts to make this transition. I didn't want a permanent mount antenna because I never like punching a hole in the roof of a vehicle. They just never seal correctly.

So I have purchased PIE Precision Interface Electronics CHRY02/PC-KNNSR Google search and bought from anywhere that sells it. This part is IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND... I bit the bullet and paid the $80 some odd dollars for it.

Kenwood KTC-SR903 is the receiver I bought. Found it on EBAY for $20.+$6 Shipping.

From what I have done for research, the receiver/tuner/whatever you want to call it... can be ANY brand. It really doesn't matter, and the only time it will make a difference is whether or not the Artist/Song shows on the display. And from what I gather, that really only matters when you're worrying about connecting to the head unit.

So the CHRY02/PC-XXXXXXXX is the important part. They sell and AUX which will NEVER give Artist/NAME... I repeat, it will NEVERRRRRRR. So avoid that if you're hell bent on getting the Artist/Song info to display.

CHRY02/PC-KNNSR (Kenwood)
CHRY02/PC-SON (Sony)
CHRY02/PC-PIOX (Pioneer)

Those are the adapters to go from your Head Unit to the respective receiver/tuner/thing.

From what I have read the CHRY02/PC-AUX does not give AS GOOD of reception as Sirius is known for. It will be equitable to radio, which in my opinion sucks. So avoid AUX for that reason also.

Now, I tried searching for other systems that are direct plug and play or fit perfect, but with the age of the trucks the parts needed are discontinued or no longer available by anyone. Good luck if you can find it...

I'm waiting for the parts. I will update and take pics as the install goes along to let you know what works/doesn't and whether or not the artist/song info appears with my set up.
