Personally i have not seen anyone that has had done.

when they sprayed my bed, They removed my tailgate & did it separately, they also took the tailgate access panel off & shot it separately too.

I would think that they would have to remove the hinged part of the Rambox & shoot it separately so that it will still open after they are finished

You would have to drive to a Line-X shop & have them look at a Rambox up close, so that they could determine just where to put the final edge line.

I also would like to read what they advise you on how they think it should be done
Are you considering doing it in the same color as your Ram ??

They look awesome!

I'll post pictures up for you these evening.

GTYankee: I'm curious as to whether it just gets sprayed from the cargo rails on down or what. Found these pics via google

and it looks like they may have taken the cargo rails off, so I am stumpified. I'd like to have mine done eventually, probably black.

Awesome, thanks Grubrunner!

That looks pretty sharp !!!

They may have just taped off the parts that they didn't want to spray

Nice. Makes me want it even more.

How did they maneuver around the cargo rails? Tape them off, spray up to them, take them off and reinstall them...

On a sidenote: How do you like the cargo rails? I've used mine a couple of times, but am worried about bending one when it comes to hauling firewood, etc.

Half tempted sometimes to just take them out.

The cargo rails and screws on the gate were all removed. That's the way I wanted it, as I don't like screws that are sprayed over....looks tacky and it's a shortcut. Also screws that are sprayed over are near impossible to remove should the need arise one day. Believe me as I experienced this many years ago on a Ford that Line-X did.

The hooks were taped over and then sprayed.

I'm not the most anal person you'll meet but certain things I want done my way.

Finally, what you see is NOT Line-X. While Line-X is an excellent product with great longevity, I wanted something this time around that was a little more 'spongy' than the rock-hard Line-X. I went with a brand called Reflex this time and am really happy.

Ask any other questions you may have.

Were the screws long enough to make up for the coating when reinstalling or did you have to get longer screws?

Reflex. I haven't heard of that one yet. From what I have seen, Line-X is bulletproof hard. A friend of mine Raptorlined the tub of his Jeep and it seems a little softer than the Line-X which is more the way I am leaning. I want a durable coat, but I don't want it to destroy things or skin that rubs/hits against it like Herculiner or Line-X lol.

How long has your liner been in?

Yes. the screws were long enough to go back into the OEM slots after the coating was applied.

I purchased my truck in mid-late January of this year and the bed was sprayed the day B4 I picked it up from the dealership. I had the dealership take it down to get sprayed, though I organized everything B4 hand. It has a very subtle sheen to it with a slight "rubbery" feel; rather than the rock-hard Line-X I've had in the past.

I'm very content.
