Default rough idle less power

So i have a 97 ram 2500 v10 got it few days ago and it idled so smooth couldn't feel it. well i got on it the other day and now i can feel it rumbling in my seat and doesn't seem like it has as much pep. i did accidently get the COP wet goin through a puddle in a huge rain storm and after washing the motor but after it dried out ran great. I assuming it Just needs a tune up so what r the best plug and wires to run on these trucks and best oil and is it 7 quarts?

I run Champion Platinum plugs in my V10. Wires just a good set, not the cheapest you can buy. I have had good luck with Duralast wires from A.Z.
As for oil I like Napa 10-40. Napa oil is Valvoline. I like Rotella oil also.
I'm a firm believer in running OEM brand plugs, fuel pumps, etc. Most electrical & fuel parts. I have a Blazer 4x4, if you try to run aftermarket plugs, caps, rotor or fuel pumps FPRs etc. If you don't run AC Delco, or Delphi it seems to always be an issue down the road long before there should be.
The OEM plugs for our V-10s are Champions. When I bought mine last year I never checked what was in it. The truck had only 74,000 miles on it. So I decided one day to look at the plugs. It was clear they had been changed because of being Platinum. Dodge didn't use Platinum plugs in our V-10s. But they looked real good nice & clean etc. If it would of had another brand plug I would of changed them out for a Champion plug. Just my opinion.

Plug Wires.. the sky is really the limit and sometimes you get what you pay for. If your not hauling heavy machinery around on a daily basis you shouldnt need a $178 set of 10mm plug wires. Most the stuff out there is pretty good, just stay away from the bargain basement stuff unless you plan to change them every time you change plugs.

I got good performance out of irridum plugs out of my v10 for about 40k now with some pretty substantial hauling. I havent run another set to compare.

Oil .. Im running 10w30 Mobile 1 because it was on sale for less than valvoline that day and I run lighter oil in the winter here. Yes on 7 quarts

Your running the AC DELCO Plugs? They are some of the more expensive plugs. But Dodge also isn't as fussy about plugs as the newer GMs.
I ran Mobil 1 in a new GM I had at one time. The thing about synthetic oils is they like to find any weak spot to leak out of. My opinion is if the truck hasn't run it from new putting it in a high mileage engine isn't the best idea. I have run dino & synthetic & to be honest & have never seen the value of synthetic in an engine. Gear boxes different story. In fact most new vehicles come from the factory with it in rear ends. My 99 has it.
Anyway just my two cents
