I also use fluid film
Lithium Grease, the white stuff.
and another stuff based on bees wax

but this stuff is also great on bolts as it will destroy any rust that forms, seams, bolts, between diff types of material, etc, but any of the above will save yourself a ton a trouble, especially in our type of climate.

yes, lithium white grease is one of the best products to use all over the truck, if there are places you would like something that is more transparent, use the rust cure, it is transparent and easy to remove in the summer. I use all three products all over the truck.

In the fall i spray everything, every bolt I can see or find, under, engine area etc, the thing hear is if you want to have a spic and spam engine compartment it may not be the way to go, so you might want to only spray in area's you don't normally see. Like all the bolts under the truck, top plate bolts etc. In the spring, I go over those again, just re-spray over where I have gone before in the fall, all the door locks I spray in the fall, all the those bolts etc, in the spring any area that my be visible is cleaned, I just wash my truck and use an old mit to clean the area's that may have a lot of grease still left over from the winter, so door hinges, lock area's, stuff like that, I use fluid film in my hitch, that stuff does not come off easy. So things like body bolts, step bolts and hardware, brake lines and connectors (these trucks the brake lines and fuel lines are covered in plastic, but the connectors to the calipers lines are not) so I cover them in lithium grease also. In my engine bay, all the bolts are done, I use both lithium on bolts I don't really see, and Rust cure is transparent on bolts that are visible. As you do it every fall and spring, you figure out what is best
