As is winter tires as I've just found out, softer compound = more friction.

I'm down to 11mpg on the EVIC in city driving, was hitting 13 mpg city before winter gas and tires. Btw I have 3.92's.

On hwy I have hit a high of 20 mpg average - too bad most of my driving is city, lol.

2K miles, am getting 11.8 city & 17.2 highway with the evic. I figure when I get to 6K mile, I'll take a pen & paper calculation & hope for the best. On the bright side, my new Ram is still getting a tad better mileage than my 07 Yuukon it replaced!

Forgot to mention that I'm getting 9.2 mpg or 25 liters of fuel per 100 kms. Oh well, I didnt buy this truck for the fuel economy. LOL

My new 2012 Ram has the 355 rear end and I thought that it would get better Mileage but so far it's not, but I plan on making some changes soon that might help.
What are the "changes" you are thinking of making in the hope of improving total MPG?

Default 2012 laramie Bad MPG

I was planning of a cold air induction and a new exhaust system and possibly a tuner if someone other thanBully Dog develops a tuner for the 2012 Dodge Ram. My 07 Ram had the exhaust and cold air on it and it seemed to help the mileage on the highway.

Just drove my '04 from Indiana to Virginia 65-70 mph with mountains and got 17. It has the 3.92 rear end with the 5 spd tranny. My I6 Trailblazer wont do much better. BTW the mpg on the trip computer is somewhat optimistic.

3500 miles on my 2012 Ram CC Limited 4x4 Hemi, 3.55 rear axle. Averaged 14.5 on EVIC over last 1155 miles. 15.4 actual hand calculated. This is 50:50 city:highway.

In cruise on highway at 70-75mph average about 17.5. Between 55 and 60mph on secondary highways about 20.5.

Started out driving like a Sunday driver on my way home from church. Noticed significant improvement around town over the last 500 miles or so. Not sure if this is improved after break-in, or if powertrain just responds better after quit driving like I was a tired, dead a$$. But I sure do like getting on that accelerator every now and then.

That's about what I'm showing on the evic in my 4x4 with the CAI.
I didn't buy this truck for mileage purposes or I would have bout a Beetle.lol
Love the truck so far. I have 6K on it now.
