To preface this I have to say that my wife has no interest in vehicles at all except that it gets her from point A to point B safely and it's a pretty color...to me, frustrating at best as I have a completely different view of the auto / truck world. She thinks that it's just a car / truck big deal.
As is my norm when going to the mall in this the silly season of the year, I dropped her off at the mall entrance and proceeded to go park in the back 40, all by myself, and walk to the entrance to meet her. Usually picking her up is the reverse of dropping her off with no radical proclamations or other comment from her except maybe "What took you so long".
Yesterday when I picked her up she remarks "Your truck looks mean". Taken back a bit by this observation I asked her what she had meant by mean. To my wife, looking mean is defined as the way Mr. Potter looked at George Bailey, "The Look" significant others give to their mates or the expression on the old man on the corners face when your St. Bernard deposits on his manicured lawn and you have no proper waste extraction bag.
She goes on to explain that the truck when approaching her has a very "Don't mess with me" attitude and that she likes it.
After a moment of silent disbelief I had to conclude that something miraculous and special had just occurred in that one brief statement. She gets it... If the same reaction is stirred within other's minds upon seeing the RAM, I can live with that.
