Default New to me any having problems!!

Hi Everyone im new to this side and also new to the dodge world. This weekend i picked up a 1998 1500 5.9 Auto. Seemed fine when i got it "dont they always'' Well im having this problem really hard to start got to pump the gas petal even and once i get it running got to keep giving it some throttle or it will die. I take off in it after a little warm up and when i come to a stop rpms will fall and die. Start it back up can drive it and sometimes at stops it will be fine and sometimes it will wanna die. What should i look for need some help please!!!!

could be the throttle position or crank sensors. My 5.2 in my hot rod was doing the same thing turned out to be both..

Yep drive just fine. I just bought a new battery today and it took out all the hard cranking and so far been driving it around today and hasnt wanted to stall out. I still some of the time have to give it a little throttle to get it started. Is that normal? but once running it will idle now
