Exclamation Need Help with Intake - Check Engine Light After Install

I just installed a new CAI for my '06 1500 4.7l and noticed that a sensor they had me unplug from the factory housing (pictured below) didn't have anywhere obvious to plug into on the new intake.

I called them and they said it's a temperature sensor, and to just connect it to a premade hole in the piping. So I connected it the only way it made sense and now the Check Engine Light is coming on.

Am I plugging it in wrong? Is there something else going on here?

btw, the rubber nipple that sticks out in the last picture came plugged. Soo.... don't know if the sensor needs to read the air and I should pop a hole in it? Or if it's supposed to be that way.

Thats your MAF. Where you plug it into the CAI shouldn't be plugged. On my Volant CAI it plugged right into a hole in the tube. Clear out the plug and put it in there, that should take care of the Check Engine Light.
