Default Moving Dash Switches

Does anyone know if the row of switches below the radio can be relocates to the space below the Heat/AC controls. I know some models have a row of switches there but I don't need extra switches. I want to relocate the Hazard, Parking Assist, Tow Mode etc. switches to that area. I'm considering a project for the dash and I could use the extra real estate.

It looks like both panels are the same size
if the wires are long enough, what would stop you ??

maybe 15 minutes to pull the dash apart & check

That's pretty much what I thought; I just figured I would ask before I started. Information is always a good thing. Wires can always be lengthened.

yes they are held in by screws on the back side all u have to do is remove the panel and the switches and swap them .... there is enough slack to do so

Thank you! That's what I was hoping.

LOL. Funds are always part of the equation so I'm not ready to show my hand just yet but I'll give you a hint. If those switches are moved to the lower area you can maintain a stock look but you then have a lot of real-estate above the HVAC controls to work with.

Not so fast....

They will swap, and the wires are long enough... BUT... the screws are not aligned the same and it's not as simple as you may think. Take a closer look and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for the heads up. Do you know what has to be done to complete the swap?

Can it be accomplished with some fabrication or is it a complete no go?
