Default loose hood

The hood on my ram lifts and rattles at highway speeds and when its windy. Does anyone elses do this? I'm worried mine is loose. Sometimes it feels like its going to fly open on me.

It's lifting at the back by the hinges though. The rubber bumpers wont fix that.

Mine lifted like crazy as well, especially when we'd get a west wind, and I was always amazed at the flex when an 18-wheeler blew by me. The hoods are aluminum so they're super light and to my knowledge it's completely normal for these hoods to flex like that. The new hood is absolutely rock solid though.

Okay good, I only noticed it a few months ago and it was freakin me out. I've never had a vehicle with a hood that did that. Thanks

I've noticed it on mine too. There's a stretch in my drive to work that is wide open and it's always windy there. The first time I noticed it, I thought my hood was unlatched. Now I'm used to it and if it hasn't gone anywhere yet, it's not going to.

I noticed it right off the bat since my old suncoast hood weighed 4 times as much as this stock hood and never flexed/lifted, even at 235km/hr. I used to keep getting out and making sure the hood was latched properly because of how much it would lift/flex.

Good to know, it was probably doing it before I just never noticed. Now to get warranty to cover my wrinkled up blackout tape on my doors and I'll be happy.
