texaspike is on a distinguished road
Default 2011 flame red quad SLT

so I'm starting a build thread for a couple of reasons:

1) to document the (albeit boring) mods I've done so far
2) obviously to show you anything new I put on, and
3) to get ideas from you guys about what I should do with it.

I don't have any pics from when I first got it, but here's what I've done since then:
Ranch Hand heavy duty front bumper replacement (had an oopsie and this made more sense to invest in)
2" Summit engineering leveling kit (eBay... has since been removed)
Chrome tubular side steps
Black leonard toolbox

Here's a pic from after the bumper and leveling kit were installed

Yet to be installed:
Bilstein 5100s set at max (set for next Wednesday)

Future mods:
BFG All Terrain 35s if I can fit em
Custom front springs to compensate for the bumper
Cat-back exhaust
Halos/LEDs?
Suggestions?

also, i'll try to take a few more pics tomorrow before work

Sounds interesting i will be following if you don't mind who are you having do your springs, i had a member as me what could be done about the sag caused by the front bumper and our tech informed me to get some new springs for the front as he already has his bilsteins maxed out so he cant adjust them anymore. So i reached out to a couple manufacturers and have yet to here anything back.

Thanks
Jeremiah

I have to give credit to Ghostknife, I first found these guys through seeing his suggestion over in the 4th gen suspension forum, but the guys at Coil Springs gave me a decent quote on getting just a new front set (for all I know, ~$250 is decent). You can set different specifications such as weight, trim height (not sure how this works, but they said it'd essentially do the same as a levelling kit), and stiffness without changing the price at all

Nice looking truck and nice mod list! I love that bumper as well. You thinking new rims when you get your 35's or you going to stick with stock ones??

I haven't decided yet. I don't like how the rims are plastic on the inside, but I can't find any other chrome rims that I like. I may end up going with the black XD 797 Spys to keep with the black and red theme, but I can't decide if I want 17s, 18s or 20s. Tires for 20s are just absurdly expensive

Sell your stockers for some cash towards some new wheels. Especially if you want 20's

what fast said! 20's are expensive but definitely worth it especially with 35" and up. and gotta love XD rims. Check out Fuel rims as well if you do decide to go black

I definitely will once I get around to that, but I've still got a few years left on these goodyears (if they last that long), and I'm still a broke college student for another year and a half, so it'll be some time before I make any real moves.

Probable mods once I get the money are:
Upgrade wheels/tires
Debadge
HID heads/fogs once I find the fog light P/N that fits into that bumper
LED interior lights
4" lift (not sure of the brand yet)
Max legal window tint

For the next year, the only things I'm probably gonna put on are Bilstein 5100s, the upgraded springs in a couple of months, and the stock fogs once I can figure out what the P/N fits in that bumper. I think it's the same ones that fit on your truck, fast, but I'm not sure
