I have been researching this kit and the mufflex kit for a LONG time. The Solo product seems to be a top notch quality product to me!!...my only worry is the numerous complaints from the folks who purchased the mufflex kits regarding leaking joints and the clamps loosing up all the time...Is there any known problems like this with the Solo Mach 40 direct fit kit?? I will be ordering this as soon as I am reassured that these problems do not exist with your kits. Thank you in advance for your honesty.

You could just have a muffler shop weld it on. I just ordered the the full cat back and when i get time im just going to have them weld it in place so that i dont ever get an issue like your talking about.

Thank you for your suggestion. However I do not feel like I should have to weld in a "bolt in" kit!...I also want the option to go back to factory if I choose down the road. Besides, there are NO shops around here that I trust to weld stainless, let alone, touch my new truck....

We have had no issues with leaking clamps. We use a really solid, high end clamp. With any new aftermarket kit, there is a break in period of 500-1000 miles. After that break in, it is always recommended to re-tighten everything. The initial expansion and contraction of the new stainless steel from heating and cooling will always loosen things a touch, but after the re-tighten, you're golden. This is standard for all aftermarket kits. Thanks so much!

Steve
