Default Not a Sway bar????

Ok so I know that my 2012 RCSB Express does not have a rear sway bar. I climbed underneath of it this morning and noticed the bar pictured below. Is this a replacement for a swaybar? Because it ties the axle to the frame but only in one point as opposed to two with the swaybar. Can I still install a sway bar? Any help would be great.

I opted for a larger Hellwig front sway bar and added their rear sway bar which is much larger than the stock rear bar. If you look at your pictures you will note the factory mounting bracket is already in place. Hellwig can supply the missing pieces also.

If you decide to go with hellwig but plan on doing an aftermarket exhaust, you will need to check to see if the sway bar will fit. I ended up ordering some addco because I don't have a stock exhaust and I plan on changing what I have even more and didn't want to have problems with the fitment of all of it. From everything I had read addco allows you to have an aftermarket exhaust with no problems.

I have a Magnaflow cat-back with the Hellwig rear bar...not even close to having any interference.

you might want to look at a series of videos that were done to a RAM EXPRESS
to make it more like a good handling Ram Sport Edition
nice mods & it tells you which rear sway bar to use

the videos were done by Stacy David
