Default Changing my shocks

I finally got some new shocks, the orriginals only have 160K on them! This will be a good Saturday morning project. The front shocks look as though I'll need to remove the top of the shock tower....is that correct? Any one have any time saving or "while I'm under there" tips for me?

I'm no front end specialist, but I did just install new leveling shocks last weekend on my 2007. Do you have coil overs? Where the shock is inside of the spring? I might be able to offer some tips

Hmmm okay. well then I'd assume your front suspension is set up like mine..I wish I had a concrete way of knowing. Maybe I can find a pic of mine and see if it compares. Only cuz I'd hate to give ya tips that don't apply.

Does it attach like that at the lower control arm?

Changing these were a snap, I haven't gone for an alignment yet & not sure why it would be needed? Maybe I'll sell the old ones! The add would look something like this: " OEM factory shocks, still has the factory paint marks. Limited edition Off-Road truck, sport truck. Mainly highway use and less that 170K miles on them. 3 still have presure to self-extend, Orriginal owner, have history and reciepts to prove it. Truck was sometimes driven by an old lady...(MY old lady!).

I'll just have to come up with a price....Barrett-Jackson is coming up soon, may be kinda steep!
