ya i just finished a full tune up and oil change, night and day difference. truck runs smooth. awsome power wish i could drive another v10 to compare. lately ive been using a bottle of octane boost every fill up it helps alot power/idle/and possibly mileage wise. its cheaper than buying premium and winter blend blows anyway. i cleaned my tb even more and my IAC sensor. shifts like a dream, nothing is hanging it up (Brakes, wheel bearing etc) and runs at 200 degrees. as far as the o2 sensor as i said b4 its not throwing a code of even a CEL, so idk whats up and yes ive stuck my face in the exhaust it doesnt smell rich for sure and if it was running lean...well we wouldnt be having this talk lol.

Glad you got it fixed. I assume your mileage improved greatly? My 99 2500 QC 4x4 with a 5 speed & 3:54 gears gets 10-12 mpg empty & 8-9 mpg pulling our 5000# TT & 6.5 mpg pulling our 10,000# TT.

What I can say is out here diesel is 80 cents a gallon more than gallon than gas. Then the cost of buying another truck. You'll learn as you get older you can't trade up for gas mileage.
But good luck without you this board will die it appears. Only a few V-10 truck people out there anymore.

Yeah dude so what if your truck gets crappy fuel milege do you love the truck I love mine cause if you did love your truck you wouldnt want to sell it and let me telll you dude that 6.5 turb diesel is garbage we have them in our humvs in the military and my dad had one in a 3500 dually and couldnt keep it out of the shop man its an awsome truck I get 13-15 mpg pulling my backhoe on my gooseneck of course a cold air intake and stuff like that helps but add you a tornado to your air box with a k&n air filter and you will be suprised at how much your fuel milege will rise

early 6.5s are crap. cooling issues and crank shaft issues but amazing motors and sadly live in the shadow of cummins and powerstroke kinda like the v10. humvees need a damn commercial cummins or powerstroke for sure....14,000 pound rig with a eco diesel isnt smart but banks finally released a new turbo and intercooler for em for about an extra 200 hp and 280 ftlbs. as for diesel prices its only about 35 cents more here in idaho....and i have access to red diesel so i only pay like $2.30 a gallon and get more power and mileage out of it. Ya im slowly seeing an increase in mileage on the dodge, id like to do a duel battery setup...negative degree weather really affects starting these big motors. I am impressed with towing. i just plowed all night and pulled a tractor on a bumper pull in 5inches of snow with no trailer brakes.....didnt even kno it was there. sad to say but it pulled better than my powerstroke.

The V10s are great engines. They got caught in the middle of the diesel craze when everyone was rich & thought diesels were the greatest thing since girls. I have 400 Hp 700 ft/lbs or torque. I only use half or that but I got it mentality. Then came the problems Powerstrokes & Duramax, not so much Cummins. Now pig piss is needed to run the ALL 2013 models. Diesel got more expensive than gas. Dyes came out to keep farm & industrial diesel off the road.
So now people are dumping their diesels for EcoBoosts, 6.2L Ford gas, 5.7 Hemi etc.
So now you have a choice as I had. Buy a 99 V10 4x4 for $5500 with 72,000 miles off the original owner or go pay $35,000-$65,000 for a new diesel that gets 10 mpg empty or a gas that gets up to 25 mpg 2013 Dodge 5.7 Hemi or a 6 cylinder Ford on steroids that can't last towing 11,000# for too long.
Just my two cents. Not too hard of a decision in my mind. I like the girls better.
