I installed my air bags last week! I originally "THOUGHT" i was missing some items but the people at TLC went over the list and assured me everything was there. I emailed "TLCJohn" and received a response within the hour (10 pm pacific time). Customer service is fantastic with these guys!! The whole install took me about four hours. I would have been done sooner but i stripped out the bolt on the aluminum mounting plate and had to rethread it. Other than that, the install was smooth. My biggest challenge was deciding where to mount the gage, i ended up mounting it below the steering wheel to the side. Install is clean looking, i might post more pics later. Thanks to "armyof one" also for his how to's. I will follow up when i take the 5th wheel out for a test drive, as soon as the weather clears up a bit.
Hooked up the 5th wheel today for a road test. I have a 27' about 6500 lbs. The truck sits level! YES! just need about 8 lbs of air in the bags. Improved handling, much less bounce. Braking seems a bit easier too but not sure if thats just due to adjustment of my trailer brake. The catalytic converter got hot enough to melt the tubing so i have to re route that further away, maybe i'll place it behind the fender flare. Not a big deal, lesson learned. I can still inflate the airbags, just cant see ho much pressure is in them.(It was the tubing between the gage and compressor. ) I'll take care of it toorrow. I took pics but they didnt come out(New camera) so ill have to post them later.
