Not sure what everyone is trying to accomplish with 4.56's, I have no intention of offloading a full size crew cab, it wouldn't last the first tight turn between two trees, that's what I have my Jeep for, as for straight lining, what are you hoping to accomplish with a CC 4x4, mid twelves?? Anybody who races would never be happy with that, get a RCSB, super charge or twin turbo, build an 8,9,or 10 second ride. I have 37x12.50x17's with 3.55's, on my boat of a crew cab, IMHO it looks good, I can still chirp the tires from a stand still, soon to be more with the program, I re calibrated my speedo, and since most of my driving is highway, 120 kmh twisting 1500 rpm, and 13.9 litres per 100 km, not the greatest but pretty respectable, and when i punch it to go around someone, i cant complain about that either, so for me it works fine, I can't complain, the truck suits me quite fine. I have looked at going to 3.92, and with my 37's it's pretty much the same as the truck with stock wheels and 3.55's, so to each his own

Tim, completely agree with you.
But 37" MT tires (nitto trail = 87lbs, toyo MT = 93 lbs) are much heavier than your BFG ATs (37x12.5x17 = 66 lbs)
That weight makes a huge difference. Plus 17" rims vs 20" rims are also lighter.
So lets say you setup is 90-95lbs total....thats lighter than most people with MT and 20's who avg 130-140lbs.
Plus Rollin resistance on the MT's vs the AT's

This is why guys require gears.
If I let you drive my ram when it had 3.55 and compare it to yours, you'd would see what I'm talking about.

I was looking at going to 37s later and getting 4.56 gears. How much does it usually cost for the gears?

A tuner wont solve your problems. However it will mask your drivetrain straining. The tad bit of extra power it provides helps with the weight of tires but does nothing to help wit the larger diameter you now have. The only way to counteract larger tires is gears.

If you do step up to 4.56, you'll have a sweet ratio of 4.06....damn near the 4.10 on the R/T....winning
I strongly disagree... I am running 37 10plys on 355s and couldnt be happier. Do I wish I had 4:56s or even 3.92s? of course... But I am extremely happy.. I have had 4:56s in previous trucks and have had lifted diesels to compare to what I have now and I am very happy. I thought it would be MUCH worse. I have already put 2k miles on it since the lift and have taken it on a long road trip and put it through some serious paces offroad and it has handled it very well.. Does it spin the tires? No... But I am happy with the power, mpg, and the ride. At the same time though I know it pays to play so I knew I wouldnt be getting 18-21mpg highway like my diesels or as if it had 456s. But its not down the drain and I pass people on the highway all the time. To me its just not worth the trouble to get the 2011 front diff and then do gears.

edit: to clear up my position, I am not saying that it is fast as hell or perfect. But, after having multiple lifted trucks and running an offroad shop for years I have had all tire sizes and gears to compare too... I was VERY fearful of running 355s with 37s and FAST knows that.. I asked him a 100x questions about it.. But I love my setup..

I think the most important thing is what someone is expecting... I was realistic with what the lift and tires would do from experience. Many others I think expect it to ride stock... I did not buy from truck to drive fast, thats why I bought a TBSS... For me it was more the ride and mpg, and in those areas I am not that disappointed at all. And I honestly don't think the accel is that bad, and I am not blowing smoke.. I am choosing bumpers, flares, and Kore parts over the gears because i am pleased with how it rides.. Just my opinion. I more so disagreed with the "full of it comment" but like i said i think its more of what someone's expectations are.

Guess you havent attempted to tow anything with your 37" tires. Because i can tell you my setup and throwing 6000lbs of atvs and trailer behind it. Makes me cry sometimes
