No sir, I think it's strictly grocery gettin and hwy cruisin. Even hwy cruising, well from Va Beach to Blytheville Ar 3 times wasn't too bad but the last trip with 4.56s was definitely better for that 2500 mile round trip! But when used as a truck it does suck. Whether its towing, farming our 9k acres in the delta or 2k hunting lease in the Ozarks its a terrible setup

i was making a comment to his post that 37" tires with 3:55s was a good setup haha, i figure the only thing its good for is driving across the great plains at 60mph with a good tail wind haha

I couldn't even imagine 3.55 and 37s!

I get upset when my 3.92 and 35s jumps out of overdrive going up a hill

And your tire weighs 79lbs.
Imagine those with tires that weigh 93 (37" Toyo MT's) and 100lbs (38" Toyo's)

Ya you're 100% right. Somehow you can make a judgement call that the truck is strictly a highway pounding city truck because I have 355s and 37s. Good call. Guess that's why my entire vacation days where spent in the truck on the ranch hunting taking care of the farm and checking on cattle. I in no way said that it is the perfect setup for towing. I just sold my 3rd cummins, I know for a fact it isn't. The most I'll ever tow is one of the tractors, hay, or an atv. We have diesels on the farm if i need to tow more. My point is that it's all what you expect out of the truck with 355s and 37s. I don't expect it to be the best tow truck for when i take a load to East Tn. But if this was my primary tow truck I wouldn't have lifted it. Will most of my driving be on the highway, well yes, there is a highway i take to work everyday. Will the truck be Offroad, yes it's already gotten me through some serious terrain out at the ranch, where its been the past week. Like i said, it's about what you expect out of it and need out of it. I just sold my 2006 5.9 and was going to get a 2011 cummins but decided I didn't need the diesel as my daily driver. We have plenty of diesels on the farm. For what I need, which is a good daily driver to and from work, a truck that can get me to and from the deer stand, and occasionally tow a load when the diesels are all hooked up its the perfect setup for me. Just for me personally I don't need the 4:56 gears and have other areas I rather put the money.

It's going to be used as a truck, but I wouldn't have 1. Bought a half ton and 2. Put a lift on it if I needed it for heavy loads. Even if I had 4:56 gears i still wouldn't want a half ton with 37s towing one of my heavy loads. I am not dogging why people put 4:56 gears in. I clearly see the benefits and positives. But for me, I don't need them. If I have some spare change down the road then maybe. But I am completely happy with the way it is now.

Quit twisting words, we're not making judgement on you and how you use your truck. We are strictly commenting on how you said 3.55 and 37" Toyos is a good setup. Which it is not! We are also commenting from experience not just blabbing. I had that setup on narrower and lighter Swampers for 20k miles. Even then I wasn't happen. Btw I see your in Jackson, I know you haven't got into any gumbo or clay yet. That's a terrible experience right there. Really not sure if toyos or 3.55s would be worse in that situation

Also my bff () has your EXACT setup. I've spent some time in that truck and matter of fact was in it New Years eve and yesterday for lunch....weak sauce. In heavy stop and go Hampton Roads city traffic again it's hard to be happy. He can't wait to upgrade, but the newborn is delaying that.

I also see you have other things to upgrade. Dunno why you would though if you have perfect geometry and angles Personally I think you really should with that 3" of leveling kit. Your suspension and driveline will thank you. Wanna ask me how I know that too...

Again this is just coming from experience with the same setup. Not dogging you or your truck. Just calling your bluff and fluff

^^ can't agree more... i have toys with 392s and its not a good setup so i don't know how a 3.55 rear would be perfect

haha yea these toyos are like lead weights lol. I mean not that it matters much but i also have a 300lb winch bumper hanging on the front and another 100lb winch in it. pretty soon my 1/2 ton will weigh as much as a 3/4 ton truck

Yea, but rolling resistance is more than simply adding weight on the truck. You winch is like adding 300 lbs in your bed.
Strap that winch to each wheel and see what happens
