Does anyone have or know anyone looking to sell or just get rid of their old stock coils that will fit a 2013 Sport?

my friend Jeremy cut aftermarket coils to get a 3/5 static drop. Any lower and you have to c-notch the rear end. If you want to cut a coil, do your best to measure it out and don't use a torch to do it. I don't endorse cutting coils but if you're going to do it, do it as best you can

That's way more than a 3/5...more like 5/7

This is a 3/5 static on an R/T. It's a 2/4 spring drop with 1/2 a coil off the front and a full coil off the rear....measure almost dead on 3/5 from stock height.

His looks great but does it have any suspension travel at all?

I know I'm not quite sure why I wrote 3/5 when it's more like a Belltech 4/6ish lol He has a little but it's a stiff ride for sure. compared to even your drop. I wouldn't mind dropping another inch around but I think I'm going to switch to air bags if I do. I can bolt them in stock locations without cutting anything and the ride would be smoother

I keep thinking about dropping mine another inch but not with the rear link bars mounted like they are now. I have some ideas on those....the upper bar would be easy. Trim a couple of spots on it's mount and drill a new bolt hole and you could drop it a couple of inches. The lower bar will take some fab work and welding but doesn't look too hard to drop. Once those are moved a standard old school c-notch could be put in for some more travel. Notching the frame as it sits and the upper link bar will be the first point of contact with the frame....it already is if you have bump stops that are too short installed. I learned that the hard way.

If chip foose cuts springs then we can too. My dads are cut to get a 2/4 drop on his 2012. I bought bell tech 2/4 w shocks for my 2012 express. If I put you in each truck you couldn't tell me which is cut, they ride and tow EXACTLY the same.

Now, to drop 1" front cut a half coil, to drop rear 2" cut one coil.

I cut a full coil off my rear springs and it only dropped about an 1" at best. Once you go beyond that first coil the spacing between the coils increases greatly, so be very careful how much you cut off beyond that point. I still think starting out with some Mcgaughys 2" coils would be a better idea, jmo. Only $200 and are easier to cut since they are a progressive design (more "flat" coils).
