Default Exterior Cleaning

What do you guys use to wash your truck with? The reason why I am asking is that I live in Texas and the water is rich with calcium! After I clean her up I have water spots that just drive me crazy! On my windows and every thing. So what do the dealerships use because I cant do these beeping beeping water spots any more

I see on TV they advertise this blower that dries your vehicle. Bottom line dry it before the sun does. In the summer I wash my vehicles in the am or after the sun goes down. With a big crew cab truck it's hard to wash it all and keep it from drying before you're done.

You need to dry it off after you wash , get a good chamois. Than if you want use wax, it will help bead the water off when it rains.

as others have said, don't wash it in direct sun. I wash my truck in the morning or evening then I take a leaf blower to it, does a good job of getting out of the small cracks and crevice's plus it helps to have a good coating of wax on it.

I use Mothers car wash. It also helps to keep the entire vehicle wet even after you finish washing an area. Get a good Chamois.. I've washed my vehicles in 98F temps and dont get water spots..

Try something like this:

Fill it with distilled water and use it as a final rinse.

It's a bit anal but it will work.

If your house has a water softner you may be able to run a pipe with hose bib to the wash area. I did this at the old house and it was great! Just don't water the plants with it.

We don't have a softner here at the new house. I was looking at a device that attached to your hose for final rinse - supposedly deionizes the water preventing it from spotting. Kinda expensive so it's waiting for extra cash.
