Default Picture request - Single remote CD player

Does anyone have the Single disc remote CD player option wherein I could see what the dash looks like with the Single disc remote CD player.

Post up a few photos.

Thanks.

looks like you are not the only one looking, read this site
http://www.allpar.com/forums/topic/1...am-1500-radio/
it shows where the CD goes if you have the full floor console

i believe in some model without the full floor console, it uses a different dash bezel center stack & the cd slot goes down at the bottom, below everything

It was a shock to me to find out my truck did not have a CD player. I guess I heard the words "premium sound" and traslated that to include the one piece of media that has been the staple of car audio for the last 10 to 15 years. I don't use CD's that much as Pandora and Sirius are great options, but still, it's just suprising no CD player.

I have a lifetime subscription I bought back in 2003. I tried to transfer it to the Ram and they told me my subscription wasn't compatible with that radio. I told them they had to give me a new subscription that was compatible and I wasn't paying a dime. Lifetime is lifetime. They then told me that I can't put any other subscription on until my 1 year that came with the RAM was expired.

Every once in while, and sometimes frequently, you might just want to hear your own music without surfing, tuning, selecting, burning, MP3 downloads etc

There are some areas where there is no reception or weak signals and a CD collection inside the truck is nice to have.

My truck better have a CD player and I'll order it with one.

Mine didn't come with the CD player just the 8.4N Radio. When I'm in a poor reception area I either use Bluetooth to stream from a device or have a 64GB USB stick full of all the music I could want.

I like that I don't have to carry CDs anymore. I used to burn a bunch of MP3 CDs, but the USB port in the media center is a more convenient option for me.

I will admit I simply overlooked the lack of CD/DVD when I got the top of line setup...just sort of assumed. That said, I love the SD setup and started throwing my music on some 32GB cards. Folks, you can get a 32GB SD card for less than $20...that's a lot of CDs. and create playlists, etc.

I'm sure the failure rate of the CD devices and the "it's not cost effect" to continue to support them had a lot to do with the removal as standard equipment.

If I find everything else I want in a truck on the lot, a CD player or lack of one will not stop me from buying. If I have to order, it's getting that option.

I contacted Ram directly to ask where the remote CD player would go on a 40/20/40 front bench seat. Here is the response I got:

As for the location of the Single Disc CD Player option on the 2013
Ram 1500 models equipped with the 40/20/40 Bench Seats, it would be
located in the storage bin under the center seat cushion.
