Thanks for that.

But is the 19.05 back space correct.
On all the aftermarket wheels I have been looking at the back space shows
4.49 to 5.75 inches??

Thanks, that's very helpful.
I see the 19.05 measurement on their but how does that correlate to aftermarket wheels "back spacing" (sorry I'm used to offset when dealing with all my performance cars in my past)?
If I had a preference I'd want the aftermarket wheels to stick out a tiny bit more, or be the same as the stockers, don't want them inset anymore than the stock chrome clad Laramie wheels.

19.05 is not the back spacing. That is the offset.

Back spacing comes from the wheels offset and width.

Ok but then how do I figure out if a wheel with a -12 offset and a 4.49 backspacing will be similar to stock look or is it going to stick out away from the wheel well further or tuck in more.

Again, "back spacing" isn't a term used in performance car wheels, you easily figured out whether a wheel was going to stick out further or tuck in more simply by the offset difference.

Yeah, I understand that. Im used to the performance car world too.

You need to know the WIDTH of the wheel and either offset or backspacing to determine how far in or out the wheel will be compared to stock.

This chart will help once you get the width.

Then when you get the offset, use this.

So knowing what you know about the stock 20 x 9 wheels on our Rams, would a wheel with these specs fit:

20 x 9 5 x 5.5 18 mm BS: 5.71"

We do have a 5 lug 5.5 right?

Yes, Ram 1500 rims have been 5x5.5 for many years. And the rims with the specs you listed above would stick out roughly half an inch more and fit fine.

Yup, they fit almost like stock.. It would only push the wheel out 7mm's

Thanks guys.

Wish I knew how to do the conversion, so I wouldn't have to ask but what about a wheel that had
these specs:

20 x 9
Offset: -12mm
Backspacing: 4.45"

Is that going to stick out further or go in further than stock, and by how much.
