Default whats that noise!

hey guys i just bought an 07 dodge 2500 hemi and im having trouble. when slowing down i get a rubbing/humming/grinding noise at about 23 KM an hr. i can hear it at 18-30 Km an hr but its loudest at 23ish. braking does not effect the noise and i hardly hear it while accelerating at those speeds (possibly being drowned out by the exhaust). the noise is not consistent it fluctuates like something to do with something that is rotating. definitely sounds like something is rubbing. its low deep rumble and i cant place where its coming from. any help would be treaty appreciated!

from the front or the rear of the truck. rear check parking brake and make sure it isnt rubbing. front brakes could be rubbing but i doubt it, could be a bearing or hub.

Could Be front wheel bearing(s) or possibly CV joint. Does it change when you turn the wheels when moving? That's how I determined I had a bad front wheel bearing.

sounds like the bearings are going up front and or the ball joints. check your front tire wear and see if you can wiggle the wheel in and out. if its the bearings get ready to replace everything from the steering u-joints on out. I just did this back in November. welcome to the 3/4 ton club

jack up the front end where the noise is, and place hands on top and bottom of tire, try and wiggle it. if there is movement chances are bearing and or ball joints are bad. if it is bearings, replace both sides and replace as much as you can in there.

Get it up on a lift, you can pin point where it's coming from. Ebrake shoes or wheel bearing, rare shot, but a bad u joint can make some weird noises too. I owned 2 Camrys years ago, both would pick up small rocks that would wedge between a caliper and disc every time I drove on gravel roads or on sanded roads, it would sound like the wheel was falling off for a while.
